Frontline Arts is a nonprofit arts organization that connects communities through socially engaging arts practices rooted in papermaking and printmaking. Its Frontline Paper program is a unique art project that offers artistic tools and professional instruction to military veterans, providing a space for veterans to use art and creative writing to explore experiences through the art of papermaking. The tranformative process of making handmade paper from military uniforms creates a platform for veterans and non-veterans to come together and share stories. The program tackles head on a much needed discourse between veterans and society. Frontline Paper artists teach the art of papermaking and printmaking to veterans of all service eras.
